EDC–NHS coupling chemistry was utilized for aptamers integration onto the SWCNTs. In this research, we used the aptamer specificity to detect the MTB in the droplets. Aptamer is an synthetic oligonucleotide which can combine with different substance (such as metal ion, molecule, protein.etc.), the selectivity, specificity and the affinity of it is the same as the other anti-body, even better than them. As the MTB combined with the aptamer, there will be a significant change in the current of the CNTFET(Carbon-Nano-Tubes Field Effect Transistor). We had used the PDMS process to produce a bio-sensor chip.
