Due to the lack of electricity and restricted electricity, energy saving must be implemented. In addition, power monitoring and energy management are of concern. The current energy management system mostly depends on Wireless Sensor Networks, set up in the environment to collect information and handle corresponding events. However, since systems use simple network topology, there is room for improvement in real application. For example, when adding nodes to the system, they have to be done manually. Another problem is if nodes are broken and not corresponding, it will cause parts of the system to idle and thus raising risks of incidents. Hence, we propose in this thesis a power management system based on Wireless Sensor Networks that can config the route of nodes automatically and dynamically. By implementing the proposed algorithm to correspond to events and automate its linking system when nodes are broken, the system won’t stall. Furthermore, when adding extra nodes to system, it would plan a route automatically, without extra setting. This research also combines power assessment and web server so that the user can obtain electricity information as well as control the electrical appliances from web pages immediately.
