Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電腦與通訊研究所 === 101 === Multiple-input multiple-output with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) has become the popular technology for the next generation of wireless LANs. However, a large PAPR in the transmitted signals is still one of the major drawbacks for the MIMO-OFDM systems. Although the selected mapping (SLM) scheme provides good performance for PAPR reduction, yet it may suffer from the higher computational complexity and the lower spectral efficiency of the system. This thesis is mainly to investigate the effect of both the PAPR reduction and the spectral efficiency of the system. To reduce the computational complexity, the low-complexity conversion matrices (CMs) were used to replace the IFFT in the SLM scheme, which combined with Zadoff-Chu (ZC) precoding matrix to reduce the PAPR. In addition, a side information allocation (SIA) method was used to improve the spectral efficiency for the MIMO-OFDM system. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme not only improves the spectral efficiency of the system but also achieves lower complexity than the conventional SLM scheme.
