It could reduce server loading compared to traditional client-server architecture. With prevalence of multimedia, more and more VoD (video-on-demand) systems are applied on P2P architectures. In this paper, we propose P2P streaming for multiple descriptions coding (MDC) video. The proposed method allows users with different bandwidths watching the same video. We first divide a video file into segments, and then divide those segments again by using MDC. Then, we design an adaptive access mechanism to make services not only available for users but also transferrable to another user. The simulation results indicate that the mechanism is suitable in P2P architecture. What’s more, the mechanism can significantly reduce the server load. 陳育威 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 26 zh-TW
