Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南藝術大學 === 民族音樂學研究所 === 101 === Abstract From adapting, transplanting to composing pieces, Mr. De-hai Liu has accumulated a large number of his musical works and keeps composing and creating so far. Fusing traits from different schools with his background of being trained in different musical genres, Liu has established his own musical style. Therefore, it is often called “Liu School” nowadays. The study started from De-Hai Liu’s background of learning pipa to explore the influences on his later compositions, and further analyzed Liu’s compositions concerning his composing concepts and the developed techniques. First, through his compositions Series of Pastorale and Series of Religion, it discussed De-Hai Liu’s musical thought and ideal and studied techniques created for these pieces in musical analyses. Next, from the aspects of the composing inspirations, aesthetic thought and second creations, it further probed into De-Hai Liu’s artistic thought and ideal toward pipa in full-scale. Except the literature review and musical analyses, the author arranged an interview with Prof. De-Hai Liu to get the first information and the full idea about his viewpoints and concepts concerning pipa arts. The study is expected to help future performers have more complete knowledge of De-Hai Liu’s musical aesthetics to interpret pieces from much more aspects while doing second creation.
