The researcher gave twenty dance lessons within five weeks to two students with Down’s syndrome studying in a special education school in Keelung in order to find out the influence of dance courses on balance of students with Down’s syndrome. The students took balance tests before,during and after the whole session. The researcher used Zig-Zag Hopping,Walking toe-heel Forwards, walking on the balance beam for dynamic balance test, and Two-Board Balance, one-leg stance with/without eyes closed for static balance test. The results of the study show that both dynamic and static balance of the students with Down’s syndrome improved after the dance courses.
