Profit is not the single goal for corporate operating. More and more Corporations have realized the important effect of themselves on not only industrial technology and ecological environment but also the society. Consequently corporate social responsibility has become one of the most concerned issues among the managers. Since R&;D activities and Corporate Social Responsibility are playing an essential role in sustainable development. This study begins from this view to explore the relationship between the R&;D activities and CSR. Furthermore, debt is one of the main issue in the financial decisions, this study is focusing on the impact of the ratio of debt to equity as a moderator. This research finds that corporate social responsibility has significantly positive effect on research and development expenditures.
