Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 化學工程與材料工程系碩士班 === 101 === In this study, we have improved the poor dispersibility of the composite of the silica aerogel and the thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU). The silica aerogel was modified with 4,4''-Methylenebis(cyclohexyl isocyanante) (H12MDI) and 4,4''- Methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) for preparing the H.aerogel series and the M.aerogel series, respectively. The optimal condition for modification were determined through experiments. Two types of modified aerogels were added into TPU to prepare H.aerogel/TPU series and M.aerogel/TPU series. The dispersion property and amount of modified aerogel in TPU was investigated.
First, H.aerogel series and M.aerogel series with different degrees of modification were synthesized. FT-IR was used to identification , and BET and FE-SEM were used to observe microstructure of modified aerogel.The effect of modification to the aerogel’s microstructure was investigated. The optimal conditions for preparing the H.aerogel/TPU series and M.aerogel/TPU series were determine by experiments. The MDSC and Hot-Disk were used to measure heat capacity(Cp), glass transition temperature(Tg), and thermal conductivity(K). The Contact angle was used to identify if the composite is hydrophobic or hydrophilic.The FE-SEM is used to observe the modified aerogel’s dispersibility in TPU.
The experimental results show that the modified aerogel still has aggregation phenomenon. However, when the 10wt% of modified aerogel was added into TPU, the thermal conductivity of TPU was decreased for almost 58%.The modified aerogel was expected to use on insulation coating.
