We can realize that caring environment research for demented individuals has been the urgent issue from the caring demand and policy development. Wandering is one of the behavioral problems and demented individual usually occurs accidents during wandering process. There were many studies correlated preventing demented elders from getting lost and how to control wandering. Nevertheless, how to prevent demented elders from injuries by environmental dangerous factors scarcely discussed. Due to demented elders lack of expression ability and difficulty in tracking their wandering behavior, this research will apply RFID to track the wandering of demented individuals. The purpose of this research is to analyze the model and typology of wandering path in order to understand the occurrence area of frequent wandering, and to observe the interrelationship between demented elders and environment in the wandering path in order to study the possible dangerous factors in the environment. This research will apply article review to study the typology of wandering path. RFID is used to track the wandering trace of three demented individuals in the interior public space, including corridor, dayroom, dining room, nursing station, toilet, activity area and garden. Observation method is applied to record the environmental characteristics, dangerous facilities and demented elders'' behaviors in the wandering path. The perspectives of results will establish local wandering trace of demented individuals for the application of wandering management, and to collect environmental dangerous factors in the wandering path for the designing reference of caring environmental safety.
