Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 化學工程與材料科學學系 === 101 === The preparation and use of special unsaturated siloxane monomers are studied by using Instron mechanical tester, Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), water content measurement, gel permeation chromatography, proton NMR, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It is confirmed by FTIR, GPC, and H1NMR analyses that the hydroxyl terminated siloxane is substantially reacted with hexamethylene di-isocyanate trimer (HDT). No residual isocyanate is found after the reaction. The unsaturated siloxane monomer (USM) is successfully prepared by reacting HDT-siloxane with glycidyl methacrylate. The USM can be UV polymerized with poly-hydroxyethyl-methacrylate (HEMA) or 2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate. The water content, mechanical tensile property, and thermal stability of the prepared films are measured. It is obtained that the addition of USM would not affect the water content and thermal stability but decrease the tensile strength of the films.
