Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 101 === This study aims to identify the factors that are significant predictors of students learning outcome in English as a Medium of Instruction Classes. We will examine six (6) important factors, which we think will be significant contributors to the overall learning success of students. These factors includes: Student’s language Ability, Student Motivation, Student Study Strategy, Technology use and Teacher Attributes such as English Ability and Teaching Skills. In a country where the predominantly spoken language is Mandarin, and where only a small percentage of the student population speaks English fluently, the results will give us more insights about the impact of Bilingual Learning in Taiwan. Three hundred and twenty two (322) undergraduate students from Ming Chuan University and Yuan Ze University participated in this study. These two schools are private Universities located in Taiwan, which have made bilingual learning a focal point of their educational objectives. The results of the study reveals that only five of the six (6) factors listed above are significant predictors of Students learning outcome.
