However, in our daily lives, there are a lot of kinds of situation that people get additional information after their decision-making. Hence, this research proposed one of the additional information that may change our mind: “attractive confirmation.” In study 1, I proved that the extreme aversion will be weaker when the attractive confirmation is made than when no confirmation is made. And also examined the extreme aversion is no difference between when the unattractive confirmation is made and when no confirmation is made. In study 2, I wanted to examine is there any difference if people with attractive confirmation is made make decision by rejection and choice. And my results demonstrated that when people make their decisions by rejection, the extreme aversion will be weaker when the attractive confirmation is made than when no confirmation is made. In study 3, I examined is attractive confirmation and extreme aversion mediated by self-confidence.
