Among a number of MIMO techniques, relay transmission can be used to further expand the coverage or increase the system capacity. In this thesis, we investigate in the precoders design problem in MIMO multiple relay systems. Our approach is based on the method of gradient descent, which is known to be a low-cost algorithm which ensures local convergence in non-convex problems. We derive a gradient expression of the weighted sum MSE and then determine the weighted sum rate gradient from a relation between the differentials of the sum MSE and those of the sum rate to jointly design precoders in multiuser multi-relay MIMO systems.
