Furthermore, to compare the educational expectations and preschool choices toward children of parents with different background between the different consideration. Finally, to discuss the relation between parents educational expectations toward children and their preschool choices. This research subjects were parents with children studying in public elementary schools in 102 academic year. The research tool was a self-designed questionnaire -“Questionnaire of Changhua County Parents’ Educational Expectations and Preschool Choices toward children Survey”. The valid samples were 682, and the final results were computed and analyzed with t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation. The conclusions were as follows: 1.Parents with children studying in Changhua County elementary schools tend to have high educational expectations toward their children. "Expectations of interpersonal interaction and character " is the highest among the all kinds of expectations. 2.When choosing the preschools, the most important factor was “environment and facilities”. 3.Educational expectations differ in the variables of parents' age, monthly family income, nursery agencies nature choices, quantity of children, and socioeconomic status. 4.Preschool choices differ in the variables of parents' age, monthly family income, nursery agencies nature choices, quantity of children, and socioeconomic status. 5.Parents in the “high educational expectations” valued preschool choices more highly than those in the “low educational expectations” group. 6.There is a strong relation between parents’ educational expectations and reasons of choosing preschools.
