In the present study, carvacrol and thymol comparing the antioxidant in the Pogostemon cablin and Thymus vulgaris, and the antimicrobial effectiveness of the repellent . Experimental Method using thin layer chromatography (Thin Layer Chromatography, TLC), gas chromatography mass spectrometer (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometer, GC-MS), qualitative and quantitative analysis, and then make use of DPPH radical scavenging antioxidant law test, E. coli and Staphylococcus aureus antibacterial test, and left fragrant thyme crude extract for Aedes aegypti repellent effect. The results showed that the left hand fresh bay leaves, fresh thyme leaves and dried thyme leaves commercial ethanol extract , carvacrol contents were 2.05 %, 0.00 % and 3.41% ; thymol contents were 0.00% , 0.52 % and 0.93% . DPPH radical scavenging antioxidant found that carvacrol IC50 was 77.63 mg / mL, thymol IC50 was 147.50 mg / mL, left Hong ethanol extract IC50 of 4.329 mg / mL, the ethanol extract of thyme IC50 of 1.912 mg / mL, thyme ethanol extract antioxidant capacity better ; thymol test results in inhibition had a better antibacterial effect ; repellent test evaluation, standard carvacrol have effective protection for up to four hours of time , but in the real sample it is better left Hong ethanol extracts.
