This thesis focuses on assessments of energy savings of a water turbine based cooling system and an automatic tube cleaning system (ATCS). The problems and difficulties encountered for the practical applications of the proposed approaches are investigated. Some solutions were suggested to solve the encountered problems. The potential of the improvement on the energy saving is discussed based on the field data.
