This study is not only to find out if the usability of touch tablet is better than traditional mouse, but also to investigate how to improve the usability of touch tablet. Experimental study was conducted in this study. The participants are 20 elementary school teachers who are chosen by purosive sample. They are asked to finish simulate tasks. Questionnaires and unstructured interviews are carried out in order to gather study data. The study found out the overall usability between traditional mouse and touch tablet are similar. However, the advantage of traditional mouse is more specific picture click; the advantage of touch tablet is easier and more effective when writing words. Nowadays, the specialty of touch tablet is not considered in the design of electronic textbooks. In order to enhance the usability of touch tablet, the study suggests increasing the area of function pictures, designing appropriate hints and feedback information, adding multitouch and gesture navigation.
