碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 102 === People often notice others’ appearance at the first sight. This is because physical attractiveness plays an important role in the interpersonal interactions. On the other hand, people need to have a deeper understanding of different aspects of the risk, especially risk communication. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the relationship between physical attractiveness and effectiveness of risk communication. We used international airline flight attendants as a research case. Totally 480 questionnaires were issued and 378 valid samples were returned, resulting in a valid return rate of 78.75％. Then we analyzed the sampling data by using hierarchical regression analysis. The result indicates that physical attractiveness is positively related to the effectiveness of risk communication. Managerial implications and future studies are also provided.
