Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 景觀設計學系碩士班 === 102 === Located in the Yangmingshan area, Yangming and Chienshan Parks are important recreation areas situated in the suburbs of Taipei City. Recently, greater awareness of environmental protection has led to increasing demands for self-guided tours. Because facilities in the parks are old, unattractive, and nonfunctional, it is urgent to renovate them to enhance the recreational quality of green tourism in these two parks. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the behaviors of tourists and their satisfaction with recreation facilities in Yangming and Chienshan Parks. Geographic information system technologies were utilized to establish a social geographic information platform for relevant agencies to use as a reference for future park planning and maintenance management. Focusing on five areas in the Yangmingshan National Park area (Chienshan Park, Xiaoyintan Waterfall Hiking Trail, Rhododendron Tea Garden, Flower Clock Square, and Datun Waterfall Hiking Trail), this study employed a random sampling method to survey broadband Internet users in Taiwan, by using a self-developed questionnaire. Subsequently, SPSS was used to perform statistical analysis. The results of the study are summarized as follows: First, in terms of recreation tendencies, tourists expect that the software and hardware facilities are material reducing and environmentally friendly, and they are willing to protect the environment. In addition, tourists prefer self-guided tours that furnished with the idea of conservation and highlight the natural and cultural characteristics of the site. Second, in the aspect of satisfaction, tourists are highly satisfied with the trails facilities and route planning at Flower Clock Square and DaTun waterfall Hiking Trails. However, the satisfactions with the trail design, hardware facilities and maintenance management at XiaoYinTan Waterfall Hiking Trails are relatively low. There are some problems (e.g., inadequate facilities and mismanagement) on the signage boards such as installation site choice, explanation context, design of hardware facilities, maintenance and management. Third, according to the chi-square test, there are significant differences among the respondents in respective area tendency and satisfaction such as "maintenance management" of trail facility, "set location and textual content" of direction board facility, "hardware facilities, facilities modeling and management maintenance" of recreation space. Fourth, combined with spatial information platform via GIS relevant technologies, the results from the quantified statistical analysis can build up a digital social map which is beneficial to comparison with the present situation and online communication among relevant interest groups.
