This experiment was a revolutionary idea in the history of urban, campus, and community planning. The goal of this thesis was to portrait the traditional campus planning process of the University of Oregon from the founding of the school all the way up to the 1970’s when the Oregon Experiment took place. There would also be discussions on how the Oregon Experiment challenged traditional campus planning process and how the Oregon Experiment absorb the legacy of previous campus plans to create a unique result. The Oregon Experiment mainly challenged the idea of intentional planning process while taking in ideas from unintentional planning process to formulate a different planning philosophy that would infuse the two into one planning process that could respond to a changing time, need, and limited space to allow a campus to be self-sustainable. 王芝芝 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 106 zh-TW
