Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 臨床心理學系碩士班 === 102 === Abstract Background and purpose:Base on past Western and local research, express anger or repress anger can both lead to positive and negative outcome(Sabatelli & Rubin,1986;Huang, 1999;Chen, 2001;Gross & John, 2003). This inconsistent results may be affected by cultural(Butler, Lee & Gross, 2007;2009), and the tools use to measure anger regulation style in those research are lack of Chinese characteristics " rěn " (Lee & Yang, 1998). Rothbart and Bates(2006)think the use of emotional processing strategies will be affected by individuals emotional regulation styles or habits. But most of the studies only premeditated about strategies or regulation styles. In addition, women's anger regulation is indeed different from men(Nolen-Hoeksema, 2012), However, almost no local research discussed women's anger regulation. This research purpose is to (1)establish anger dealing style measuring tool suit for Chinese culture、(2)investigate the effect of different anger dealing styles of women use repress or express strategy on anger processing outcome, under Chinese culture. Method:168 (Female=109)college students in item analysis study. 180 female college students in reliability and validity study, to which 165 students with complete information as interactive experiments' subjects. Use " Anger dealing style Questionnaire for college student " to distinguish three groups:" Direct expressed " (α=.82)、"Repressed and Forbearance " (α=.74)、"Harmonious and Well-rounded" (α=.82).Then induce anger with autobiographical memories, and ask subjects express or repress their anger during interaction with the confederate. Use 15 emotional descriptors to measure subjective emotional increment(Butler, Lee & Gross, 2007;2009), and Biofeedback technology to measure relative physiological indicators(GSR、TMP、RSP、BVP) to investigate anger dealing effects. Result:(1) " Anger dealing style Questionnaire for college student " has reliability and partial validity. (2) Anger dealing style and the showing way will affect anger processing outcomes. " Direct expressed "and "Repressed and Forbearance "style individual use contrary strategy will lead to less decline in the amount of subjective anger, and "Harmonious and Well-rounded" style individual has no difference. (3) Anger dealing style and the showing way will affect HR and HRVLF outcomes. HRVLF difference between " Direct expressed "style individual use different strategy, and between different style of using expressed. (4)Anger dealing style, the degree of anger aroused, anger processing effects and depression , anxiety have significant correlation. Discussion:Anger dealing style and the showing way interaction indeed affectanger processing outcomes. For female college students, depression is related with "Repressed and Forbearance "style, and "Repressed and Forbearance "style can predict more anger arousal , more depression , more anxiety , and more physical discomfort. "Harmonious and Well-rounded" style can predict better resilience, and less depression , less anxiety , and less physical discomfort. " Direct expressed "style can predict better health condition. The unsupportive hypothesizes and study limitations will be discussed later. Key word:anger dealing style、repress、express、" rěn "、women、anger processing outcomes
