It uses action research to implement literature circle teaching strategy in Chinese reading instruction. Those students are all in a K-4 class with the author as the homeroom teacher. This study adopts questionnaires, worksheets, individual interviews, presentation of student works, reflection and making records on teaching to collect and analyze data. The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of literature circle in reading instruction for gifted students. The results show that the literature circle works for improving students’ reading interest and comprehension. Students in this study enjoy the participation of group discussion and extending activities.
