In addition, from the viewpoints of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, after 「Empathy Employee Assistance Program」is carried out, the research attempts to identify the influence of EAP toward factory foremen at the same time understanding their expectations and recommendations toward EAP, in the hope to propose practical recommendations for the employee assistance program as well as the development of corporate social work. The research concludes that the results of factory foreman’s participation in「Empathy Employee Assistance Program」include: 1, foremen’s recognition of enterprise’s effort in providing empathy training 2, helping foremen to understand the meaning and skills of「Empathy」 3, improving the「Men communication skills」of foremen under the program 4, abetting the social relationships in the workplace 5, improving their management skills However, due to the time constraint of training course offered to the foreman, which is very limited in length and one-time only, the foremen report insufficient comprehension to the understanding of 「Empathy」, and the course makes no solutions to the communication problems between different gender, races and generation. 「Empathy Employee Assistance Program」assists foremen in enhancing the feeling of「love and belonging」and「self-respect」. Under the program, the foremen can have more attentions and understanding of the feelings and needs of others around. On the other hand, the applying of communication skill of Empathy creates positive interactions between the foreman and his/her spouses, family, friends, working partners, fulfilling the need of「love and belonging」demanded by the foreman. The positive interaction between people improves working environment, and enhances the feeling of self-respect of the foreman. The research concludes that「Empathy Employee Assistance Program」generates solid benefits, but more thorough design and cohesive training are required. Therefore in the future, enterprises can provide a more diversified empathy training to different levels of staff, stimulating better interaction and working development. The study also recommends enterprises to strengthen the use of the corporate social work program. Establishing enterprises that pay attention to the demand of labors culminates in mutual benefits of labors, enterprises and the society.
