In this study, the researcher is the homeroom teacher of the 7th class consisted of 30 students. She adopts the action research to explain the process of a gender equity education program. By collecting and analyzing the qualitative data, the findings of the study are as follows: The family constructs the students’ gender stereotype through various gender expectations and the sharing of households in traditional ways. The affections from their parents may limit the children to choose their jobs in the future. However, the gender consciousness of the students could be changed after the program. We also find that the homeroom teacher plays an appropriate role to guide the students to reconstruct their gender consciousness. Furthermore, the gender equity education also promotes the solidarity of the class. And the teacher herself may elevate the ability of teaching by personal reflection and introspection. According to the findings above, the researcher could propose several suggestions to related researchers.
