The major conclusions are as follows: 1. Work ethic has a positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and turnover intention among elementary school teachers, but has not effect on turnover intention. Meanwhile, the relative impacts of various dimensions of work ethic are not consistent among these job attitude variables. 2. The effects of work ethic on job satisfaction and affective organizational commitment are mainly derived from the dimensions of centrality of work and hard work. 3. After controlling the possible effects of job stress and job condition on job attitudes, the incremental effects of work ethic on job satisfaction, affective and normative organizational commitment are statistically significant.
