Description
Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 材料科學與工程學系 === 102 === Superhydrophobic surfaces have attracted much interest because of the potential applications in many industrial processes as well as in daily life. Generally, the wettability of a solid surface depends upon two factors: its chemical compositions and its topographical microstructures. The superhydrophobic surfaces with anisotropic wettability have also drawn a great amount of attention recently. In this paper, we prepared superhydrophobic surfaces on Al alloys. A designed path line is created on the prepared superhydrophobic surface. We achieved both static anisotropic wettabilities and dynamic anisotropic wettabilities on the patterned superhydrophobic surface. The micro-liter droplets move spontaneously toward a preset route on our patterned superhydrophobic surface. The patterned superhydrophobic surfaces can also be used to merge, mix, capture, and transport liquid drops. Furthermore, the use of commercially available raw materials and the simple fabrication process makes it possible to apply such surfaces industrial applications.
