Description
Summary:碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 護理學研究所 === 102 === The purpose of this study was to examine the cause-and-effect relationship between critical thinking ability and nursing competence of clinical nurses. It is a secondary data analysis from a database. We analyze the minor data by PLS-SEM, and then analyze the forecasted result how clinical nurses’ critical thinking influences their nursing competence. Study tools included Critical Thinking Ability Scale and the Nursing Competence Structured Questionnaire. The results of the study showed: (1) The highest score of critical thinking ability of clinical nurses is “explanation”, and the lowest is “deduction”; (2) The highest score of nursing competence of clinical nurses is “care”, follow is “communication’’, and the lowest one is “research”; (3) Nursing competence could be classified into three factor models; (4) The critical thinking ability of clinical nurses had no significant influence on nursing competence. Considering the importance of critical thinking ability, it might be considered as the 7th nursing competence. We hope to verify the cause-and-effect relationship between above two abilities through this study, and then provide a direction for on-job education of clinical nurses, in order to improve clinical nurses’ nursing competence and promote their sense of achievement.
