Description
Summary:碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 102 === In the present thesis the Development of an Image Capturing System Applied in Shooting Simulator is studied with the purpose of integrating a Virtual Shooting Simulator and an electronically controlled M16 rifle. For virtual training systems, some countries have taken the first step to develop virtual simulation environments giving them not only the opportunity of being pioneers but also to export their technology for countries in need of such systems but without the knowledge to develop systems on their own. Because Taiwan is already a worldwide first class technology manufacturer, moving towards in-house solutions can the lower virtual training systems development costs. The system is developed and tested combining an infrared laser as a targeting method, a charged-couple device camera and LabVIEW for understanding its advantages and limitations. Interface image capturing and processing response time analysis has been performed and results show a satisfactory response time for single shot firearm mode of one tenth of a second.
