Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 國際企業系碩士在職專班 === 102 === Taiwan is an island, and importing and exporting has been the main engine of economic growth. All the goods have to go through customs to enter or leave the country so customs broker industry has always been important to Taiwan. This study has interviewed dozens of experts who have worked as customs brokers for decades. The study seeks to provide further understanding on the future development and prospects of customs broker industry in Kaohsiung and focus on corporates images, companies’ wishes, client’s satisfactions, quality of the service and support from the clients and common consensuses, and discussion of the professionals.
The result can be summed up to the following,
1. Most of managers of customs broker industry in Kaohsiung are optimistic for the future development in Kaohsiung.
2. As it’s always been very competitive in Kaohsiung, the customs brokerage need to enhance skills to avoid horizontal competitive.
3. The things that most of importing and exporting companies care about are customs broker professional and attitude. Broker companies need to strengthen employee’s professional skills to satisfy customers.
4. Beside customs broker professional, companies need to engage the business in many different ways to get an advantage edge over the competition.
5. Stop reducing the price just to get more customers. Beside competition among the customs brokers, it is also very competitive in logistics, aviation industry, shipping, and the transportation industry. Customs brokera also need to enhance the relationship with different industries to avoid losing customers.
The result of this thesis can help the customs broker in Kaohsiung improve the advantage of the management, lower the cost of the operation and enhance the competition of the entire industry.
