Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 休閒管理研究所 === 102 === This research aims to know the situation of work stress and stress management strategies of teacher’s professional development evaluation in Chiayi County, examine the difference in work stress and stress management strategies among teachers with different background variables, and understand the correlations of the research variables. The research instrument was a questionnaire on “work stress”and “stress management strategies”. The questionnaire was administered to a sample consisting of 450 elementary school teachers in Chiayi County. A total of 433 valid responses were obtained. These responses were statistically analyzed on SPSS for Windows 19.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA,Pearson product-moment correlation. The following conclusions were induced: 1. Elementary school teachers in Chiayi County perceived an intermediate level of work stress. Their stress from “work loads” was the highest, while that from “relationships with others”was the lowest. 2. For situation of work stress is different obviously in “highest education” and “designated position”. 3. Elementary school teachers in Chiayi County used “overall stress management strategies” at an intermediate frequency. The strategy of “problem-solving” was most frequently adopted, while the strategy of “self-adjustment” was least frequently adopted. 4. For situation of stress management strategies is different obviously in “age” . 5. No significant correlation existed between work stress and stress management strategies.
