A thorough understanding of inner needs and feelings of retirees would benefit to increase the quality of their retired life by experiencing the flow experience from their daily life. This is a very important matter to every retiree. According to literature and previous studies, the study would like to examine how individual difference, serious leisure, place, and social contact affected the opportunity to experience the flow. The study participant was defined as "to leave their workplace in the past, start a new life does not need to work. All study participants used one week to fill out the experience survey every two to three hours. They need to record the leisure activities they are conducting, mood, plan and other information for each survey. Through snowball sampling method, there were 20 study participants who completed 35 copies of questionnaire in one week. In total, there were 700 valid questionnaires provided by ten female and ten male study participants. This study used the original three-channel model to identify the flow experience. The skill is marked by X-axis, and the challenge is marked in Y-axis. The operational definition of flow experience is that the difference between skill and challenge must be between -10 to 10. Furthermore, the flow experience is subdivided to three levels. The first is named as high flow zone, which meant that skills and challenges are both higher than 67). The second is named as middle flow experience, which happened when skills and challenges are between 34-66. The third is named as low flow experience when skills and challenges are both between 0 and 33). In the flow channel at the top of the fourth district of anxiety, on behalf of the challenge is greater than the skills and greater than 10; flow channel at the bottom of the fifth district boring, that skills outweigh the challenges and greater than 10; skills, challenge those who are defined as zero Sixth District. According to data analysis result, only 21.6% was measured as the flow state; and 78.4% was in non-flowing state of 700 samples. It indicated that the lifestyles of 20 study participants were interlaced with retirement chores and leisure activities. Most of them are in the state of anxiety, boredom or short of challenge. This study showed that individual differences, serious leisure, location and social contacts could significantly affected the quality of daily lives and smooth experience of the retirees. So, early financial planning and a regular three-time per week exercise are recommend. It will help to achieve the best status of flow experience and also increase the quality of their retied life.
