Summary: | 碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 經營管理系碩士班 === 102 === This study aims to explore the case company, LOHAS BIOTECH (LB). From a “Right Way Agriculture” perspective, this study finds LB using service innovation and organizational agility to achieve the following goals, including (1) allowing a typical rural village to transform as a cultural and creative art village; (2) providing a total solution for farmers; (3) creating an industry value chain; and (4) establishing a sustainable business model and constructing a value-added social enterprise.
Conducted via case study, data collected via in-depth interviews in 2013 and 2014, this study also finds: (1) providing a total solution to farmers including setting up plant factories, helping farmers obtain loans and training them to build up safe, self- affirmation, commitment, belongings and agricultural economic; (2) using its social capitals and capabilities of boundary spanning, LB goes further to combine experts from strain culture, plant, factory and catering industry and to build up agriculture boutique; (3) by means of community reengineering, supported from students from the Arts University, LB co-work with local neighborhood to create a cultural and creative of art Village; (4) designing and developing peripheral products, LB builds its own business model which including innovation, and strategies of sustainable operation.
We can use this case to discuss the themes of Service innovation, Business model innovation, Social capital, Organizational agility and related issues. Hopefully, this case study can not only provide a better understanding of the issues of social enterprise and social innovation, but also can show a social value-added social enterprise made by people who got love, hope, and faith.
