The duration of internship may also influence the student’s self-efficacy development and their career plan. This study aims to discover the transformation of student’s self-efficacy after they receive an one-year-internship in the department of visual communication design at Ming Chi University of Technology. In order to allow students’ voice out, the Grounded Theory was utilized to conduct this research, and in-depth interviews were arranged to collect the research participants’ internship experiences. The research inquiries include four aspects: 1) the phase of choosing companies/interns with each other; 2) the phase of the working duration, 3) the phase right after the completion of internship and 4) the phase of the first job after their graduation from the university. As a result of data analysis, the stages of self-efficacy transformation in the duration of the internship, and a theory are also inducted in this research. In addition to the results of the investigation, hopefully, I would be able to reveal my research bias and have an opportunity to reflect as a qualitative researcher. This study aims to discover the transformation of student’s self-efficacy after they receive an one-year-internship in the department of visual communication design at Ming Chi University of Technology.
