Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 精密工程學系所 === 102 === In this research, three different methods of making nano-particles attached on activated carbon(AC-Ag) and comparing the results with different processes were investigated. Then the related influence of adsorbent was also studied that include the surface properties and the adsorption-desorption characteristics between original activated carbon and acid-treatment activated carbon. In the experiment, food grade activated carbon produced by Buxin Tanye Inc. as the adsorbent, laboratory grade silver nitrate as the adsorbate and sodium borohydride as the reducing agent were used. Three different processes to make (AC-Ag) materials were included in the experiments. First, original activated carbon was used of absorbing silver nanoparticles after reducing of silver nitrate. Second, the same materials was used of absorbing silver nanoparticles before reducing of silver nitrate. Third, the acid-treatment activated carbon was used of absorbing silver nanoparticles before reducing of silver nitrate. After the processing experiments, SEM, EDS, FTIR, adsorption-desorption curve, BET measurements were used to analyze the results. Through the EDS measurements, the process using first method which loaded with (0.1 M, 0.001 M, 0.0005M) silver nitrate have a better silver nano-particles distribution over the (AC-Ag) materials and it took a shorter time to make the (AC-Ag) materials.
