To survive in this fierce competitive international market, a firm needs to manufacture products that meet various demands of the customers, and it also needs to have a comprehensive integrated management model to deliver products to the customers swiftly. Many firms realize that a good supply chain management is a necessity in the intensive competitive international market. Taiwan’s competitiveness in touch panel industries originates from the advantages of quality, cost, flexibility, and expertise in manufacturing technology and also due to the complete supply chains. Nevertheless, how to provide products with a lower cost, better quality at the right time and place is important for Taiwan’s manufacturers to maintain a competitive edge and to make a decent profit in a longer term. This paper considers an integrated traveling saleman and replenishment problem, and the objective is to minimize total costs, where the costs include ordering cost, holding cost, purchase cost, transportation cost and production cost, under the requirement that no inventory shortage is allowed in the system. We formulate the integration traveling saleman and replenishment problem as a mixed integer programming model and use of artificial immune algorithm for solving the model minimizing costs and compared between the two. Besides providing supply chain management to the touch panel industry enterprise reference the model.
