Summary:碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 102 === By the influence of R.O.C Armed Forces downsizing, 3,400 soldiers who served more than 10 years choose to retire each year, joined the civilian society again, and faced challenge of switching jobs, taking jobs or starting an enterprise. In addition, under the uncertainty of All Voluntary Force system, numbers of veterans will still high in the following years. The main idea of the study is to understand whether veterans’ personality traits and army experiences will influence their choice of starting an enterprise, and hope to provide the study result to other veterans and the Veterans Affairs Council. The research questions are following: 1. Understanding veterans’ motivation and experience of starting and choosing an enterprise. 2. Discussing the influence of personality traits on starting and choosing an enterprise. 3. Discussing whether army experiences have influence on starting and choosing an enterprise. 4. Providing references and suggestions to veterans who want to start an enterprise and the Veterans Affairs Council. The study takes method of in-depth interview, and covers five individual cases. The interview topics includes army career experiences, personality traits, venture professions and processes. The study found the interviewees have similar army professions, and personality traits have more influence on venture choices. In addition, veterans hope to have stable jobs. The study hope to make soldiers know more about getting a job or starting an enterprise before they leave army, and new veterans can use the predecessor’s experience to plan their future.
