This study, conversely, examines users’ resistance toward new technology from the perspectives of Motivation-Opportunity-Ability (MOA) and Trust in the healthcare industry with the intent to complement for prior research. Specifically, the study explores, while facing new medical diagnostic instrument implementation, whether instrument operators’ resistance will be directly affected by trend of industry, workflow process improvement, and self-efficacy for change, through the moderation of trainers’ profession and manufacture’s reputation. By collecting data from 384 technologist working in the hospitals and laboratories, the results showed that trend of industry, workflow process improvement, and self-efficacy for change each exerts a directly negative effect on instrument operators’ resistance. Contrary to the prediction, trainers’ profession and manufacture’s reputation do not produce moderating effects; conversely, they exert directly negative effects. This research expanded the examination of the issue of user resistance by extending the theoretical foundation from prior TAM focus to the MOA and Trust perspectives. Managerial implications and future directions are thoroughly discussed as well. Hao-Chieh Lin 林豪傑 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 54 en_US
