Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃學系 === 102 === Designation of urban ventilation path is still a critical challenge for urban planners under the sustainable issue, because the Least cost path (LCP) algorithm, a global method adopted by recent studies to detect urban ventilation paths with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), is not quite in accordance with the fluid properties, and could affect the accuracy and application itself.
This study attempts to adopt Agent-based model (ABM) with the platform of GIS to propose two simple flowing rules based on treating air particles as intelligent individuals and the assumption that air particles might flow through the lowest value in terms of frontal area index (FAI), called least cost effective adjacency (LCEA) and cost probability of effective adjacency (CPEA). Tainan, Taiwan is the case and the explanatory power of each rule are evaluated and compared with field measurement and computational fluid dynamics model by the Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (ROC-curve).
The result shows that ABM-based wind ventilation model could amend LCP algorithm. Each rule has its representative at spatial and height, and could be used to explain some phenomena of urban wind environment. In addition, lower cost of time consuming and human resource make it possible to break through the limitation of conventional method in large scale and lower the threshold for the urban planner. Furthermore, simplified information is also useful in practice to identify the location of improvement area, simulating different strategies, etc.
