Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 102 === The scheduled virtual topology design (VTD) problem is denoted as MH-VTD (Multi-Hour Virtual Topology Design), which considered the problem that the traffic demands are modeled as a temporal series of traffic matrices. In mixed-line-rates (MLR) optical networks, each wavelength can support different transmitting rates to meet the variant demands. In this study, the multi-hour virtual topology design (MH-VTD) problem on MLR WDM network is studied. The goal of the problem is to construct a virtual topology with minimal cost which satisfies the multi-hour traffic constraint. A heuristic method is proposed solve this problem. In this article, the simulating results shows that the cost and the number of lightpaths used for constructing the virtual topology can be reduced efficiently by sorting the demand matrices. In the future, the virtual topology design problem for dynamic traffic demands on mixed-line-rates optical network can be extended by using the proposed heuristic algorithm.
