Quantifying dietary inositol requirements of juvenile soft-shelled turtle (Pelodiscus sinensis)

碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 水生生物科學系研究所 === 102 === Juvenile soft-shelled turtles(pelodiscus sinensis) of approximate 5.0g body weight were fed diets supplemented with 9 levels (0, 250, 500, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750 mg/kg diet) of inositol, add 1% Oxytetracycline dihydrate other antibiotics in the control group,...

The analyzed inositol contents were 0, 236, 463, 931, 1261, 1594, 1829 mg/kg diet. No added inositol group have the lowest growth performance value. Turtles fed 236 mg/kg diet the best growth performance and the highest red blood cell count values. Dietary inositol levels significantly influenced phospholipid, cholesterol in the plasma, phospholipid in liver and brain inositol concentration, as well as hepatosomatic index (HSI) of soft-shelled turtles. Further, there is no statistically significant difference (p≥0.05) in among test groups in alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and AST/ALT ratio. Using the broke-line regression model with HDL-Cholesterol in the plasma, the liver and brain inositol concentration, the optimal dietary inositol level for the soft-shelled turtle was 1212-1307 mg inositol/kg diet.
