At the time of the study, there was no scale or instrument in Taiwan to assess symptomatology and diagnose hoarding. The purpose of the present study was to produce a scale, suitable for both academic and lay use, by translating and validating the Compulsive Hoarding Rating scale (Frost, Steketee, & Grisham, 2004) and the Activities of Daily Living scale in Hoarding disorder (ADL-H) for the Traditional Chinese Language.
