碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 觀光暨休閒遊憩學系 === 102 === The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship among motivation, leisure involvement and leisure benefits of Taiwan WWE fans. A total of 249 valid questionnaires were collected at WWE live event on 6 July 2013 in Taiwan through survey on the spot and the internet. This study adopted the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and multigroup analysis for analyzing the collected data. Spectators’ motivations include push and pull dimensions. Leisure involvement includes three dimensions: attraction, ccentrality and self-expression. Leisure benefits include three dimensions: physiological and psychological benefit, social benefit, educational benefit. The results show that: 1) Watching motivation positively affects leisure involvement; 2) Leisure involvement positively influences leisure benefits; 3) Watching motivation impacts attraction and self-expression, which in turn influences leisure benefits; 4) Participation frequency moderates the path of push-motivation and attraction, and the path of attraction and centrality. Conclusions and managerial implications were drawn from the results and suggestions include providing the wrestling fans more interactive activities to promote the interaction between fans and WWE supporting units. In addition, it is suggested to increase abundant and innovative entertainment facilities and services to maintain its charm and features of WWE for its first-time participants. These will impress the wrestling fans and encourage their attending the event again or recommending to family and friends, which in turn established their loyalty to the WWE leisure activities.
