碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 藝術教育與創作碩士班 === 102 === My creative discourse -“Respite in the Darkness” is mainly based on the works created in the Institute during the period from 2010 to 2013. Creation for me, is like a journal, converting feelings and sad thoughts into paintings and letting go of them instantly. It is a self-healing process and burns the deeply-accumulated inner energy, in an attempt to reach a balance between reality and subconsciousness. In the meantime, my creation focuses on the dim, lonely and unsightly corner, which is also a relatively safe and warm fortress. In my creative process, the shape derived from original overwhelming thoughts may have been distorted, hideous and horrible images, but it slowly becomes musical, fluent and poetic semi-abstract form out of digestion and simplification when released bit by bit for internalization and precipitation through the graffiti painting. Thus such thoughts evolve into one that is beautiful and serene. Through this discussion, I will analyze this paragraph “Respite in the Darkness”, trying to make the abstract and mixed feelings coherently normalize the creation context and cut into thinking with all kinds of viewpoints to have a glimpse of the “Full Ego”. This writing is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is “Transformation of Life Experience” and explains the motivation and nature of the creation brought about by self-ego (individual personality), physical ego (inspiration from nature), human ego (interpersonal relationship) and heaven ego (life philosophy and perception). Chapter two is “Shadows in Graffiti Consciousness” which cuts with the creative acts of graffiti art, explores the original fulfilling desire of painting and then gradually analyzes the psychological level of personal graffiti creation characteristics and subconsciousness in depth. Chapter three is “Silhouette Lurking in the Darkness” directed towards creative forms which respectively elaborates the common features of the works, analyzes creative context between the past and the present as well as the derivative meaning implied in the structure of the works, and collects commonly appreciated artistic expression. Chapter four is “Respite Embodying the Darkness” which mainly recalls the creative idea behind the series of works, appreciates the embodiment of all the work, introduces the creative process in detail and records the daily traces of respite Chapter five is “Conclusion” which is about recognition, retrospection and exploration of the inner self through the process of writing papers; and with which a final comprehensive reflection is made.
