In facing of increased administration, demand for quality care, competition from rivals, difficulty in recruiting professionals and in lack of innovation, long term care institutes (LTCI) in Taiwan are at the edge of re-positioning and re-forming. This paper studied the business model innovation (BMI) of a LTCI located in southern Taiwan with two key findings:(1) Customer segment, value proposition, key activities and key resources are critical elements of BMI; (2) Human resource is the key factory of success in the implementation of BMI.
