Description
Summary:碩士 === 南榮技術學院 === 工程科技研究所碩士班 === 102 === The double diffusive mixed convection phenomenon in the vented cavity affected by the inlet fluid conditions is numerically investigated in this study to analyze the fluid flow, temperature and concentration distribution as well as the performance of heat and mass transfer. The parameters studied and their ranges are Lewis number 1≦Le≦10, buoyancy ratio -2≦Br≦2, Richardson number 0.01≦Ri≦10, Reynolds number 10≦Re≦200, respectively. The results show that the flow structure is affected by the strength both of forced convection and natural convection. The average heat transfer and the average mass transfer rate are enhanced as the stronger mixed convection effect, especially for the higher Reynolds number and Richardson number combination. The average heat transfer rate decrease but the average mass transfer rate increase as Lewis number increase. The effects of the positive values of buoyancy ratio result in the enhancement both of the average heat transfer rate and the average mass transfer rate, but the results of the negative values of buoyancy ratio show small differences due to the forced convection suppressed by natural convection.
