Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 造船及海洋工程研究所 === 102 === Top-hat stiffeners are usually used to enhance the bending rigidity of FPP plates. The top-hat stiffeners can be bonded to plates by using hand lay-up method or infusion method. In order to obtain structural continuity between FRP plates and stiffeners, the bonding method of top-hat stiffeners is usually to use overlapped process. However, the different types of overlap will influence on structure weight and bonding strength. Therefore, the mechanical properties of specimens manufactured by different overlap forms were bending tests discussed and were used in this study. Besides, in order to
make sure the stability of experimental results, VARTM method is utilized to manufacture the specimens in this study. Finally, three-point bending test and strain measurement were used to explore the fracture development of different overlap forms, and the optimized overlap form was suggested in this study.
In order to measure the fracture development on overlap roots in this study, strain gauges were located on the overlap roots. Therefore, the core material of specimens near the overlap roots were cut out because we assumed the core material is only used to form the shapes and did not provide strength. According to the experiment results, the core immersed the resin will increase bending strength, so it can’t be neglected. Furthermore, the experimental results of this study also proved the number of overlapping layers and the distribution of overlapping layers are the main factor for affecting the bending strength of top-hat stiffeners. As the more number of overlapping layers and appropriate distribution of each overlapping layer, it will have better anti-bending strength.
