Differences exist among demands arisen out of environment, rights and interests of stakeholders as well as whether matching with local cultural customs or not. Therefore, it is expected to organize and analyze corporate social responsibility Taiwan and Japan enterprises shall take for where local public can understand and learn. The thesis herein is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is Introduction, where it describes the study’s research motive, research purpose, research method and structures, followed by literature review and introduction to the study’s features. Chapter two discusses developmental difference between corporate culture in Japan and Taiwan, followed by introduction of historic background of corporate social responsibility, progress in the development and concerned matter, as well as more realization of the latest new state of corporate social responsibility Japan and Taiwan enterprises have taken. Chapter three analyzed and discussed progress and direction of embodiment, development Japan firms, the case companies, have performed. Chapter four analyzed direction of implementation, mechanism, concerned issues and background Japan-based firms in Taiwan and Taiwanese firms have taken for social responsibility, followed by analysis and discussions of collective insights in both nations. Chapter five refers to the findings, issues people shall concern subsequently and vision. Indicated from the findings herein, difference behind corporate style and cultural customs in Japan and Taiwan may vary with the execution and developmental direction of corporate social responsibility; therefore, understanding of corporate in cultural style followed by promotion against demands not only smoothes the process, but also helps establishment of corporate image socially.
