碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 工業科技教育學系 === 102 === Abstract The purpose of this study aims to explore the attitudes of vocational high school teachers of automobile department in Tainan city and Kaohsiung city towards the implemenation of the new curriculum. Also, this study compares the differences in teachers’ attitudes towards the new curriculum with regard to variables such as genders, ages, years of teaching, educational background, the highest degree receieved, the position at work, the teaching subject, the location of schools, and the types of schools. Survey research method is employed in this study, targeting at the vocational high school teachers in automobile department in Tainan city and Kaohsiung city by random sampling with an aim to find out their attitudes towards the execution of the new curriculum. There are 114 valid samples collected after the questionnaires are retrieved and examined. The major findings of this study are as follows. Fist, there are significant differences among some background variables. As far as the competence for the new curriculum is concerned, the teachers who teach professional courses value more than those who teach the professional and internship courses. As for the degree of the adjustment to the new curriculum, teachers who teach professional and internship courses think more highly than those who teach general courses. Second, when it comes to attitudes in general, teachers in private schools value higher than those in public schools. Considering the degree of identification of educational goals in curriculum, the competence for the new curriculum, the adjustment towards the new curriculum, the private school teachers think highly of public school teachers..
