Fewer of them, however, were established based on Skill Training Program Placement (STPP). Exploring the current situation for STPP and confirming the differences from other schools would be needed. This study aims to investigate the current status of the STPP in a junior high school in Hsinchu (School P), and to clarify if there’s any similarities and differences from other schools. It also aims to understand if underachieving or more career-inclined students can learn professional skills through the program successfully. Apart from the current status, the challenges and the achievements of the school’s program are also analyzed. In this case study research, data are collected through 4 teachers interviews, documentary research, and questionnaires of 21 students. Conclusions: 1. The primary goal of Junior High School P is professional skill acquisition of underachieving students. 2. Junior High School P collaborates with its partner school to assist students and meet their needs. 3. Parents’ knowledge of the program and their educational beliefs affect students’ desire to participate. 4. Not all the staff participate in the curriculum, curriculum planning is imcomplete and students don't get along well with each other 5. There’s high satisfaction with the achievements of the Skill Training Program Placement. Based on the above research results, the suggestions are provided for the educational institutes and related members participating.
