Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 物理學系 === 102 === This study investigated how the human movement patterns related to geographical scale and population density distribution. By analyzing the trip distance distribution of taxi passengers in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, we found that the distribution of short trip distance less than 8 KM is exponential decay, however, a power-law distribution is found in trip distance larger than 8 KM. Regional analysis showed that exponential distribution of short trip distance is observed in urban area, while the power-law distribution of the long trip distance is related to suburban region. Sociodemographic research showed that the population density is an exponential function in urban area, and it is a power-law distribution in suburban region. Based on the population density distribution from the sociodemographic research, we performed a Monte Carlo simulation and repeated successfully the observed empirical result of the taxi passenger trip distribution function.
